It's a brand new day

I want to start this blog with bright flashing lights, signs on the pavement, and free Emersons for all happy chaps...

But our budget has been cut from infinity to a few pies worth so this will do. Cold hard facts as cold and as hard as the pies we can afford.

Thundercub came into existence early April this year after the dried muffin remnants of a Dunedin band had broken up. Over time it sounded like distorted cats in a can rolling down the gutter whilst the wind whistled it along and gave it a pulse. So, we gave it a name, played a few gigs, and decided to keep it moving. That is to say, acoustic/electronic drums, guitar effects and synths collide in small spaces often. Thundercub have recently recorded most of their debut EP at the Albany St studio (here in Dunedin) and will do something fun with it upon completion. TBA.
